Meet Our Staff
Introducing: Melanie Andrews, C.C.P.A.
Melanie is a Michigan transplant and proud graduate of the University of Michigan! She moved to southeast Florida 3 days after graduation and has not looked back!
Upon moving south, she taught preschool for almost 10 years before heading to the West coast of Florida, where she ventured into something new and started a career in the chiropractic field. Melanie completed the Certified Chiropractic Physician't Assistant course through Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2008, and became licensed with the state of Florida, the same year she came on board with Korman Relief & Wellness Center.
Melanie and her husband are huge sports enthusiasts, and enjoy following her alma mater, as well as attending local sporting events of any nature!
Family time is very important to the Andrews and includes activities with their son and four-legged fur babies! So, when Melanie is not at the office, you can probably find her out on a kayak, attending a Stone Crabs game, or cheering on her Maize & Blue!
Introducing: Dena Bridge, LMT
Dena Bridge is our full-time Massage Therapist. Dena has been a practicing Massage Therapist for 7 years, and we are happy to have her on our team!
Dena graduated from Florida College of Natural Health in 2006 with an Associates Degree in Neuromuscular Therapy. She has always had a passion for massage therapy, and, in 2009 began working for a chiropractor and found medical massage to be where her specific skill set lines up.
Introducing: Brian Korman
Brian Korman, husband of Dr. Laura Korman, is an integral part of our office. Most patients will see Brian in our Therapy Room, as our head Therapy Technician. He is there to see to the health and wellness of our Therapy patients, and is certified and well-versed on all of our therapy equipment. In addition, Brian is our “jack-of-all-trades,” and sees to so many of the needs of our building, our office and our staff. Brian is constantly making aesthetic and mechanical improvements to our Wellness Center, and is the most enjoyable, positive energy we could ever hope to have. Brian’s smile is infectious, and his positive attitude is contagious.
Introducing: Connie Orman
A transplant from KC (Go Chiefs & Royals!), Connie and husband, Denis, retired to North Port, Florida, in 2006, where they are full time residents. Connie is a 1981 Graduate of Emporia State University, with a BS in Psychology. Post graduate studies were in the field of Disaster Relief Counseling, during which time she worked for American Red Cross on their Disaster Response team.
Connie served as Assistant to the Owner of the “Massage Therapy Training Institute," the largest, state accredited, massage therapy school in the combined states of both Kansas & Missouri. In addition to managing all operations of the school, she wrote 2 courses, required for graduation, for the 500-hour, National Certification Program. Teaming with the school’s owner, Connie lobbied the State Capital for stricter regulations for the licensing of massage therapists. Their efforts resulted in the state of Missouri approving a bill to override the previous 70-hour requirement for licensing and replace it with a 500-hour, state-approved curriculum coupled with a National Certification requirement for all Massage Therapists practicing in the state, which remains the requirement for licensing today.
Connie contributes her skill set to our office by working on “all things internet,” in addition to many special projects for Dr. and Brian Korman.
